Ingredients
1 bunch Beetroot
Sugar
2 dessertspoons powdered Gelatine
1 teaspoon Sugar
Pinch Salt
Dash Pepper
1/2 cup Vinegar
1/2 cup cold Water
Method
Take bunch of beetroot, boil until tender, and then cut into thin slices. Put into a dish or mould, sprinkling a very little sugar over each layer, and then pour over all of the remaining ingredients, warmed together until the gelatine melts. Pour over the beetroot. When firm turn out on to a dish. The mixture only takes a few minutes to dissolve and does not need to be very hot.
