Ingredients
3 oz Butter
1/2 cup Sugar
I well beaten Egg
Bare 1/2 cup Milk
Breakfast cup SR Flour
2 oz Cherries cut thinly
Few drops vanilla Essence
Method
Cut the butter into small pieces and beat with the sugar until light and fluffy. Whisk the egg into the butter and sugar mixture and fold in the sifted flour. Add the chopped cherries and vanilla essence and turn into a lined and greased cake tin. Bake in a moderate oven.
