Ingredients
1 cup Plain Flour
1/2 cup SR Flour
3 tablespoons Butter
1 pinch Salt
1 small spoon Cayenne Pepper
1 cup grated Cheese (must be matured)
1 beaten Eggs
Milk
Method
Rub the butter into the flour and salt. Add cayenne pepper and cheese. Mix with beaten egg and little milk into fairly stiff batter or dough - roll out thinly - cut into lengths about 3 inches long - Bake in moderate oven till light brown.
Remarks
It is wise to make all straws ready before baking as they require careful baking on greased scone trays.
